Fires in Canada's Prairie Provinces

Wildfires (red dots) continue to burn in the Canadian provinces of Alberta (left) and Saskatchewan (center). Southeastern Saskatchewan is clouded by heavy smoke in this image from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) taken on June 1, 2002.
